At home in a tent. The tent accommodations at the Clayoquot Wilderness Resort in Tofino, British Columbia are hardly your typical escape into the wilderness. They're downright luxurious, complete with cushy furnishings, throw rugs, and even wood burning stoves...
We love the luminous walls of the tent interiors and wanted to share them here. How we'd love to recreate this at home! The diffuse glow of natural light from the walls is about the only reminder that you're in a tent. Check out more tent interiors or plan a stay (lucky you!) here. The resort even has a blog, right here.

All the comfort of a luxury hotel, plus spiders!
For me the fun of camping is partly keeping things simple and rustic, but I can see how this would appeal to some...
It's Eden, trust me! (:
It was here where Scarlett & Ryan tied the knot!
I live in paradise, yah I do!
oh and Noe, no icky spiders up here!
Vancouver Island prides itself on not having many nuisances, other than the occasional cougar (yoohoooo! heehee)
I really love these. I find them absolutely beautiful. However, did anyone else notice that a four-night stay can cost about $6000? Seems like camping has just taken a whole new meaning.
Love the idea and novelty of it. For the price of just a week's stay, though, I could by and Airstream and glam it up all I want!
Still, very inspiring! Thanks for the post!
being a vancouver girl and west coast devotee, i can vouch for the beauty and wonder of tofino. go bc!!
Anyone know of a resource for nice white tents like these? I like in a "loft-like" commercial space, one large open space...and it would be pretty neat to have a tent for the "bedroom," but of course the choice of the tent would be key. It occurred to me that I could 'diy' with a standard tent frame and drape fabric over it...
Ideas?
Sorry for my bluntness but... Utter elitist crap. Can't stand it when they "discover" another beautiful/remote spot and "develop" it into a trillionnaire "rustic" resort. Goes well with the "authenticity" trend!
Just another example of the gradual resortization of our world.
