Oh, I do love a kit. I've made a postcard kit, a new home tool kit, and a San Francisco Welcome/Survival kit, and coveted tiny town & log pillow kits, but my new favorite is a sweet and simple tepee kit from France...
Available from Kickcan & Conkers, the Morse Tepee Kit includes 6 screenprinted tepees and 18 little wooden sticks. I am torn over which I would love more: six tiny tepees lined up on my mantle (if I had a mantle), or six lovely designs framed on my wall. Hmmm...
The best part about this project for kids, I think, is that once they've gotten their feet wet putting together the pre-printed tepees, they'll be dying to design their own. Before assembling all six, they could trace one to use as a template, and then they'll be ready to make a million more. I can hardly imagine the cuteness! It's also a great chance to talk about all the different types of structures people live in (or lived in) around the world.

Ok, talk about the houses people live in with kids, absolutely.
But perhaps without encouraging the cultural appropriation of having a French company make these for profit?
Tipis are sacred in Native cultures and should not be used as "toys" or "decorations." Please show some respect. It's pretty unsettling how US has committed genocide against Native folks but now people in US seem to love to use Native cultural artifacts as play things.
This is what cultural appropriation looks like.
