Terrariums

We’ve got a new obsession: terrariums.We were recently fortunate enough to nab the mod-tastic Terradome during a Design Within Reach sale (still available direct from Modern past), and now we’ve ordered an additional trio of globe terrariums from Sprout Home in hopes of creating our own hanging gardens.

Terrariums are an ideal solution for bringing in the “outdoors” inside:
• They’re extremely low maintenance, with certain enclosed styles requiring only monthly maintenance. Green thumbs not required! In fact, a common piece of advice given to first time terrarium owners is “neglect it!”
• The abundance of Southern California sunlight makes for ideal growing of many of the sunlight-hungry, terrarium compatible plants.
• Terrariums are available in an assortment of sizes and styles that can be set ontop of tables, hung from ceilings, wall mounted, or even built into lighting bases.

Hey Chelsea,

You'd totally fit in this as a chair...if you happen to be 10 inches tall!

If you're the size of an adult human, you might want to try here for one that you'll fit in.

Okay, this post may get me to finally do something. I too bought that "mod-tastic Terradome" during the DWR sale over a year ago, and it's still lying in my closet storage.... Part of the reason for the delay is that it's actually fairly large for my little place, and I can't figure out where to set it up.
