low flow showerheads reminded me of how much I wanted to review my current Delta H2OKinetics Shower head. After a year's worth of use, I feel I can provide a pretty accurate review of the product.
Rated at 1.85 GPM, the Delta H20 Kinetics showerhead isn't the most efficient shower head out there but you wouldn't know that looking at my water bill. While water saving is high on my list, having an efficient shower head is also important - one that "gets the job done" and that doesn't waste my time by putting out too little water for me to bathe, thus increasing my time in the shower. The spray technology, H20 Kinetics, is Delta's proprietary technology that "creates a warmer, more luxurious shower experience while using less water." Does it work? I think so! Performance: The Delta H2O Kinetics shower head has a single switch which changes the flow rate from 1.85 GPM to 2.5 GPM (not low flow, I know). At 1.85 GPM however, it truly does feel like far more water (in comparison with other shower heads I've used). Now only did I try a few showerheads before settling on this one, but I've noticed at a few newer hotels that the water power from the low flow showerheads just wasn't enough to bathe properly. Based on my comparison with previous showerheads, it really does feel like a fuller showering experience.
According to Delta, the denser spray pattern is the result of larger droplets that retain their heat longer and a denser spray pattern for a feeling of drenching coverage. It's hard to tell whether the drops really hold their heat any longer so I won't give them any points for this.
Overall: Based on its affordable price and what I consider to be superior spray performance, I'd highly recommend the Delta H2o Kinetics shower head to anyone in the market. It stays relatively shiny (I haven't really had to clean it) and keeps our water bills low pretty darn low. I would definitely buy this again or take it with us when we move!
