Thank You & Check Out the Top Prizes!

Design Showcase 2012

This past Friday we closed down our fourth annual Design Showcase. For a full month we took your submissions and chose the top thirty independent designers, makers and creatives from around the world and gave them their own virtual booths to show off their stuff. 100,000 pageviews later everyone showed great stuff, got a ton of exposure and a small handful received prizes from our judges. I want to personally thank you all for contributing to another great year and invite you to check out this year's top exhibitors.

Jaime Derringer from Design Milk chose Candace Foster (above) for her top honors, and gave an honorable mention to Aldo Tornaghi & Ab Oosterwaal for their 25S32E collection.

Congratulations, Mike! After watching all the activity on the web during the past month, we pooled all the data that you gave us (social media clicks, pageviews, survey votes and comments) and were able to discover the most popular booth in this year's show: Mike Estes in Booth #17. We also discovered who came really close.

Alicia Rosauer and Robert Segal from Unison chose Strand Design (above) for their top honors and gave an honorable mention to Susanne Thurn from Hamburg for her wallpaper designs.

Bradford Shellhammer of Fab.com was in agreement with Apartment Therapy readers and chose Mike Estes' feline home accessory, the Sky Scratcher, as his favorite. He also bestowed "honorable mention" to Culinarium's NEX GEN Shaker Set.
