At what age do you bring them to the adult table? And is it wrong that I want butcher paper and crayons at the adult table? :3
Awww, these are great, but I'd be missing out if the kids weren't sitting at the table with the rest of the family during Thanksgiving dinner! No reason these ideas can't be used at the family table, too!
I want that popcorn-filled turkey at my table!
Umm, if this is what they get, I'd much rather sit at the kids table please!
I like some of these better than the "adult" table settings! I would definitely use some of these ideas for the main table.
I'm 26 years old and married and I'm STILL at the kids table!
In my experience, people make a kids table because they don't have enough space at the "real table" and most kids know that. Making a construction paper table doesn't hide that fact. I actually prefer to have the second table be very similar to the first and invite everyone to sit wherever they like.
If you like construction paper turkeys or craft paper or whatever decorate both tables that way. But don't think a lot of kids don't know they are being shoved out of the way.
JudiAU - who says anyone's trying to 'hide' it?
I think 6-year-olds appreciate lollipops and crayons more than crystal wine glasses. And their legs are going to fit much better under one of those mini tables than a six-foot adult's will.
No need to turn it into some nasty thing about kids being 'shoved out the way'.
