One of my favorite things about having small children is starting my own family traditions. My preschool-aged daughter and son probably don't remember much about Thanksgivings past. (I think they might have slept most of the day between bites of turkey, actually, hold on a second, that was me.)
However, 2011 is the year to begin annual traditions and to make memories in earnest. This genius idea for creating a Thankful Tree from Simply Vintage Girl is as beautiful in sentiment as it is in aesthetics. Just take circular cards and have family members write notes of thankfulness on the back. Thank you, Emily Rose, for sharing this super idea. Years from now, when my kids reminisce about the family celebrations we had along the way, I hope that they will remember this tree. Simple. Gorgeous. Sweet.
