That Handmade Look: Beautiful New Products

ICFF 2012

Wandering the floor at ICFF, I saw a lot of beautiful, covetable things. Here are some new designs to add to your wish list...or to kindle your DIY spirit.

Shown above:
1, 2 & 3. This Facecord dresser from Fiftytwothousand looks like a pile of firewood...until you open the drawers. Just keep away from open flames.
4 & 5. These beautiful accordion room dividers by Molo remind me of the possibilities present in an oft-overlooked everyday material: paper.

6. Spotted not at ICFF, but at City Bakery before the show: a fun way to dress up your thermostat.
7 & 8. Cover a slat bench with felt? I wish I had thought of that. From r a slat bench with felt? I wish I had thought of that. From Guild Nines.
9 & 10. For me, the star of the show was these funky chandeliers by Rachel O'Neill. Who knew Velcro could be so beautiful?

11. The cubed shape is modern; the chunky knit is just fun. From Merily Studio.
12. I love the funky turned legs on this bench by Christopher Roy...and the idea of using belts to attach a cushion.
13. These colorful wall panels from Horie are made of titanium, but their facets and colors could inspire a cardboard version.
14 & 15. An enormous God's Eye, spotted near the Sandback booth. Like summer camp on steroids.
