(Another post from Anna, who is auditioning for ATLA. Here's her last post. Whaddya think?)

6-7---fabric-2.jpgFabric covered walls may fit neo-classical French palaces or nouveau-riche New York hotels, but with the help of the $1.00 Fabric Store in the Fashion District, you may be able to bring this kind of luxury to your very own new-millennium apartment.

Located in the Fashion District, the store has hundreds of fabrics, all sold at $1.00 a yard. At that price, you won’t find silk or cotton with a sky-high thread count; however, you will get some unusual patterns, eye-catching color combinations, and even some hot gold spangle that would look amazing used as pillow covers for your sofa.

6-7--fabric-1.jpgThe staff is very attentive and efficient. The one thing they’re not willing to do for you is bargain, however. There’s no need, given that what they charge everyday is a fraction of their competitors’ sale prices. The Fashion District is a wonderful place to go for interior design inspiration, and the $1.00 Fabric Store is where you can put your ideas into action.
