012010Airigator.jpgThe Los Angeles Times L.A. at Home blog had this great heads up post about a water recycling technology solution which could result in saving 5 gallons of perfect, mineral-free water for resuse in the garden daily straight from your air conditioner unit: the Airigator.

The Airigator was designed to hook up onto outdoor air conditioners, collecting the water by-product created when air is cooled, storing the H20 into a 65-gallon reservoir storage unit for later use around the garden via drip irrigation or direct watering. We think this is an excellent idea for the Southwest states (starting at $495), where water conservation should be practiced willingly now so it doesn't have to become a necessity later.
