We've always wanted a juicer like the Breville Ikon Multi-Speed Juice Fountain that Sara Kate over at the Kitchn just tested, filling us with fantasies of nutrient rich beverages in the morning. But the truth is our tiny kitchen is just way too small (we only have room to use a single appliance at a time) for something as large as the Breville Ikon. So when we saw this compact juicer over at Appliancist, it definitely reignited our hopes of owning a juicer.
The smart looking design of the Ariete Centrika was specifically manufactured as a compact solution for those of us who like to convert whole fruits and veggies into delicious and nutritious juice (aka health nuts, hippies, and New Years resolution participants) but in live in smaller spaces. With a chute designed to accommodate for whole apples, the Centrika seems up to task at handling most every fruit or veggie normally used for juices. A pulp compartment holds any excess matter (though we like our juices filled with fiber rich pulp, please!) and the front spout is designed to prevent drips so you don't lose any of that precious nectar. About $85, we hope this European model makes it's way to the US.
