Interesting slice of data from NPD Connected Intelligence reveals the average Android smartphone users consumes about 870 MB of data per month over cellular networks, relying on Wi-Fi networks for the bulk of data use (an average of 2.5 GB per month)...
On the other side of the coin, developers of data watchdog app Ratemizer noted average mobile data usage in Finland jumped from "870 MB in October 2011 to 1,460 MB in August 2012" with similar usage numbers in the UK and USA. Other notable statistic is a downward trend in voice-call use, both nationally and internationally, as reported by Forbes (a trend I can wholeheartedly verify amongst friends and family who prefer to text than call).
Is your average monthly data use less, more, or about the same as the findings above?

Wow. I guess my 8GB over 4G in the last 3 weeks makes me a bit of an outlier here. Just my music streaming is at 2G.
Thank got for unlimited plans! Om Nom Nom.... data.
This seems low to me I guess. I'm an Android user who averages 4-8 GB over 4G a month. 25-35 range (just barely though almost to the 35 mark).
I have 4g and not once have i gone pass 1gb on my phone. I just don't watch videos, or stream music, which is where lots of this comes from.
