Your eyes aren't playing a trick on you, nor is the sink some imaginary Photoshopped conceptual solution. The floating metal sink above can go sans traditional plumbing thanks to a horizontal drainage system which opens a world of space saving possibilities. It also just pretty darn cool...we'd imagine guests would find it perplexing and would find themselves staying in your bathroom a lot longer trying to figure it all out. The Axolute sinks use what they call a Horizontal Integrated Siphon system, where water flows along the slot of the front of the basin and back into the wall connection instead of the usual traditional plumbing system.

One question/concern worth noting are plumbing issues like clogged drains. Would this horizontally mounted system require more invasive work when something would go wrong? The traditional underneath plumbing system may take up more room, but the easily accessible U-tube design makes most plumbing projects a DIY affair, while we'd see work on the Axolute Horizontal Integrated Siphon system a lot more expensive. But we guess if you could afford such a stunning sink in the first place, you'd be able to sport the cost of any repairs.
