While space saving and transformative furniture is gaining popularity, it's certainly no new concept. Our friends at Treehugger have unearthed this 18th-Century piece of furniture, apparently meant for single men without a wife to maintain their home... For them, The Bachelor's Chair does it all: it's a step-stool, ironing board and chair all-in-one!
The Bachelor's Chair, also known as 'The Jeffersonian Chair', is actually quite a good idea for those tight on space, or who prefer one object that can serve three purposes. Even though the concept is ancient, The Bachelor's Chair can still be yours today! They can be scored online for around $180, or you can make your own using plans from the Woodworker's Workshop.

When I got my very first apartment, I bought a small sofa that converted to... wait for it... a mini pool table! Yes!!!!! It was SO uncomfortable that I had to put a bazillion pillows on it so it didn't last long as a sofa.
Aaahahaha! This is so funny. But cute.
But funny.
