We're always intrigued by new prefab backyard dwelling designs (whether they're sheds, pods, cabanas, etc). One thing we've noticed is that, although many of them are touted as potential in-law units and/or guesthouses, few of them have bathrooms or kitchens. The Backyard Box has both.
It's not cheap. But what a cool concept if you were looking for a way to add rental income to your property.
The Backyard Box comes in a number of configurations— a studio, a one bedroom - one bath, and a two-story option complete with a master suite. And the Smart Box option comes with solar panels, solar hot water panels, SIP framing and non-toxic finishes.
As a renter, we'd be thrilled to find one of these advertised on our local Craigslist.

The title of this should be:
The Backyard Box, It Rocks, It Rocks.
This box costs more than my entire home, land and all.....
lol, andytseng... does it come with crunch tomats?
I agree with dearly, this almost looks bigger than my house for a family of 5.
These are huge:
No under-counter appliances.
Full bathroom.
Long corridors of wasted space.
Separate rooms for everything.
