I know, this product seems a bit ridiculous and certainly single-use, but you should see what happens to the bananas I pack for my son in the ten minutes between our house and his preschool: bruised, blemished and brown. Short of bubble-wrapping them, I think this product may be the answer to my problem.

I laughed at my officemate when she brought her lunchtime banana in one of those. But she brings it daily, so for the $6 it gets a lot of use.

I have the Banana Guard (http://www.bananaguard.com/). It's shaped in such a way that it fits ANY banana, regardless of size and curve. I've seriously never had a banana that wouldn't fit. This guard doesn't look like it can claim the same thing.

Very handy, since I hate eating a bruised banana.
