The Basket-Shaped Building Could Be Heading Toward Foreclosure

Update: As unbeweavable as it may be, the former Longaberger headquarters may be foreclosed upon. Realtor.com is reporting that the company owes over $600,000 in back taxes, and that foreclosure proceedings will begin in two weeks if the debt is not settled.

Longaberger states that "serious negotiations are underway with several entities" that could take on this picnic basket building.

9/15/16: Located in Newark, Ohio, this office building is the former headquarters of Longaberger. I'll give you three guesses as to what they're known for.

Selling a giant basket is no picnic; the property was originally listed for $7.5 million 18 months ago, but the price has since dropped to $5 million.

Even so, the broker offers helpful tips like, "You could take the handles off. I'm sure a good architect could come up with some paint scheme to make it look not like a basket."

The fishing reel house has it a little easier, since it only resembles the sporting equipment from above. That copulating building, on the other hand...
