One of the quickest and least expensive ways to update the look of your kitchen or bathroom is to install new drawer pulls and cabinet knobs. Hardware can also be a way to bring a splash of color without painting entire walls. Here are some gorgeous examples made from materials like recycled glass, cork, and stone.
1 SpectraDecor: SpectraDecor's Luminous and Beach Pebble lines are made from 100% recycled glass in Seattle, Washington. (Luminous contains post-consumer or post-industrial content depending on color, while Beach Pebble is post-consumer content.) The company's Fusion2 line is made from 100% recycled aluminum with environmentally-friendly inlays like cork and shell.
2 Paloma Pottery: Paloma Pottery's door and drawer pulls are made in Ferndale, Washington, from recycled glass jars and bottles fused into pottery.
3 Aurora Glass: The Aurora Glass Foundry's drawer pulls are made from 100% recycled glass. The foundry is owned and operated by the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County, Oregon, and all profits assist homeless and low-income people through emergency services, housing, jobs, training, other charitable endeavors.
4 Serena: Serena's Sea Stone knobs and pulls are handmade in New Hampshire using hand-gathered, ocean-smoothed stones.
5 VivaTerra: VivaTerra's recycled glass knobs are handmade by a family-run studio.

Wow, the Paloma ones are so unusual! The green is so vibrant, at first glance it looks like they're tiny green lawns!
My favorite hardware is always from Antrhopologie, but it's hard to tell whether they're produced in an eco and socially conscious way. Does anyone have any more info about them? Their website just lists the materials and that they are "imported"
Those are beautiful, but quite pricey; any ideas for DIYing the drawer pulls one already has?
@ladyofrohan7 Great question – stay tuned for a future post on this topic!
These tumbled "Beach Glass Stone" knobs are made with 100% recycled glass: http://bixbe.it/amweIo and have the look of sea glass.
Very cool and unusual. I know that Look In The Attic has the recycled glass hardware too. That is always eco-friendly.
