What Happens When You Keep a Netflix Disc Too Long? Art

Envelopes, thanks to their abundance in our mailbox and proximity to our house phone whenever we need to write a number down, are rarely not scribbled on in our house. Those tiny rectangular canvases are perfect for jotting down notes or even a quick doodle. But you know what's even better? Knowing that somebody else is going to see your doodles when you have to send that envelope back. Hence, Netflix art was born.

Remember Netflix Origami? Something about those little red envelopes coming and going every week (Okay, like once a month... we're slow to watch the discs, too) inspires people to make beautiful artwork.

Now, you can get in on the game. Let one of these pieces, all collected by the illustration enthusiasts' blog Doodlers Anonymous, inspire you to get a little creative before you send back your envelope.

If you're not a Netflix disc subscriber, you can just keep scribbling on your utility envelopes. In that case, check out these cool doodled from the Serial Doodlers on Back of Envelopes Flickr pool.
