The Best Of Geeky Wallpapers and Posters

If you’re a gamer, typography geek or a nerd of any sort, it’s fun to express yourself by decorating your home office or personal workspace with your geeky passions. Whether you long to plaster your walls with Mario Brothers inspired wallpaper or have a parade of robots march across your computer screen, here are the best of geeky wallpapers and posters I’d like to decorate my workspace with.

Queen’s Spoof: An old favorite from Etsy, Queen’s Spoof takes the original British government Keep Calm and Carry on poster and inserts other phrases as spoofs. My two favorites are “Keep Calm and Game on” and (as a heavy Mac user, I can’t help it!) “Keep Calm and Mac on.”

Nintendo Wall Graphics: Even with gaming consoles like the Kinect, Nintendo’s Mario Brothers always has a special place in my heart. If I were still a kid, I’d love to plaster my walls with these vinyl re-stickable wall stickers so I can stare at Mario diving into pipes and battling Donkey Kong all day. Heck, I’d still put these up in my room now.

Woody Allen and Jean-Luc Godard Poster: Feeling inspired by recently watching Midnight in Paris directed by Woody Allen, I’m charmed by this poster of Woody and Godard being compared by the shape of their glasses. Great for movie geeks.

Storm Trooper Demotivational Poster: Star Wars fans with a dry sense of humor might get a kick out of these demotivational posters featuring a Storm Trooper.

Typography Movie Posters: This set of posters hits home for both typography and film nerds by combining simple yet effective elements from a selection of films. I’m digging Pippi Longstocking and Jaws.

Simple Desktops: For the best tech and gadget inspired wallpapers for my computer, I go to Simple Desktops which has a nice selection of well-designed, nerdy wallpapers. They are all great, but I think my favorite would have to be “Memories” an evolution of data storage mediums.
