In the same vein as Sea Bags and the Maine Float Rope Doormat, let me introduce you to another recycled nautical product from the New England area. Meet the Bicycle Trap Basket by Kettle Cove Enterprises.

The Bicycle Trap Basket was born from an idea by a part-time lobsterman and bicyclist who wanted a rugged bike basket to carry cargo during his commutes, but one that was also able to be easily removed when needed.

The basket is made completely from lobster trap components and even has the appearance of a small lobster trap. You can choose from a fixed or removable basket, along with two different styles. The With Barnacles Basket uses recycled materials, while the Without Barnacle Basket uses new materials.

The Bicycle Trap Basket works with most rear racks but if you're unsure, send them a photo and they will let you know. All baskets are handmade in Cape Elizabeth, Maine using materials from the New England area.
