Thanks so much to all the Apartment Therapy readers who took the time to submit their best cleaning tip! As we come to the end of May and Spring Cleaning month here on Apartment Therapy, we're rounding up some of the best, most inspiring, and most ingenious cleaning tips that you've shared with us over the last 4 weeks. The first week we shared 5 of the best cleaning tips we'd received so far, and last week we shared 6 more great tips. Have a tip of your own to share? It's not too late! You have until the end of the month to share it with us and be entered to win a prize from method!

For Spring Cleaning inspiration, here are five more great tips from you:

1. Brandi says:

The best cleaning tip I have will help avoid a major spring cleaning next year! During your spring cleaning this year, write down every major cleaning task you complete outside of your regular cleaning (dusting the blinds, wiping the baseboards, cleaning the fridge, cleaning behind a big piece of furniture, etc). For the rest of the year when you do your regular cleaning each week, add one those major items to the list. Do this and next spring you'll be outside enjoying warm nice weather instead of inside cleaning!

2. Melanie says:

In the early summer I take all of my white linens (and any white shirts, etc.) out and lay them on the lawn on a sunny day. If there are any super set in stains I squirt a little lemon on it if the fabric is not too delicate (or I suppose you could dilute the acid with water). After letting the sun bleach the whites for a few hours I spritz it down with a little lavender EO mixed with water, fold, and put away perfectly cleaned and fresh whites.

3. Stephanie says:

More of a garden cleaning tip, but still amazing. If you have a stone patio, sweeping a small amount of borax into the cracks one to two time a year will prevent weeds from sprouting in the gaps between the stones. This is a huge time saver!

4. Lizzy says:

Use paper grocery bags like file folders when organizing, e.g. for cleaning out the mud room closet make a bike accessories bag, a beach towels bag etc then a goodwill bag and make one for recycling and one for trash (always have trash close by when organizing). It keeps you much more organized than piles and forces you to categorize, and everything is portable for when you want to give it a new home!

5. Clara says:

I take all of the sad socks that have lost their mates in the wash and use them for cleaning. I just slide them over my hands and get to work. It makes cleaning in tight spaces easy and the cloth is non abrasive because they have been washed so many times already. Once they get grimy, I just toss them in the wash and reuse them! (I also mark them with permanent marker on the heel so I don't waste time trying to find their mate after they have been washed!)
