There are always situations in which reading is a problem due to the light. Sometimes, like when you are on the go, or on a plane, you don't always have enough light to read. Or you're trying to read discreetly, without putting on the lights. This is why the Bookmark Lamp is so interesting. I've seen numerous lamps like this, but none of them work well. In fact I've had one and it must have broken down within a few tries.
This great bookmark and lamp was designed by Anton Guglya. It combines a discreet LED light with a way to mark you pages in your favorite books. The way that this light is setup means that you could use it to light your laptop keyboard in the dark, when the light from the screen isn't enough and your keyboard isn't backlit.
The nightlights that I've found to read always have the same problem. They don't illuminate the whole page, so you have to move them around a bit in order to read. This gets even more frustrating if your book is larger than a pocketbook. That's why I really like this lamp. It fits on a variety of sizes and the long tube is sure to illuminate your page correctly. [via DesignYouTrust]
