Name: T, L & J (8, 3 & still in belly!)
Location: Corinth, NY
Color Inspiration: We are expecting our first girl after 2 boys, so I wanted to go big and bright with the color scheme. Unfortunately, our last room available for the little peanut is also the tiniest... a mere 11 1/2 x 7 1/2. But that didn't stop me from going BRIGHT! Luckily, L's room is already the brightest room in the house due to the position of the windows and I knew I didn't want to take away from that.
Color Inspiration continued: I had no color scheme or theme in mind and decided that when I saw what I wanted, I'd just "know." The curtain fabric, crib bedding, throw pillow, IKEA crib and pendant light (which makes the greatest shadows on the wall and ceiling at night!) were items I knew I HAD TO HAVE. I had no plan on how to make it all work together, but figured I'd cross that bridge when I got there. For me, it just works. The room is bright, cheerful, and makes me happy... It's everything I know my little girl will be.
Tip for Using Color: If you love it, use it! I think it's important to surround yourself with colors that make you happy. For whatever reason, I am completely obsessed and drawn to any shade of aqua/ turquoise/ robins egg blue and find a way to use it in EVERY room of my house. We painted this room before we were expecting, with anticipation of one day adding to our family, and knew we could make the color work for either a girl or boy. The rest of the colors found ME! :) I was less focused on finding colors that "matched" and payed more attention to filling this tiny space with things that I loved.
Colors Used: Wall color - "porch swing" - Valspar. Yellow, Green, Raspberry Pink, White.
Thanks for your colorful entry Jessica and good luck!

Hi guys! The curtain fabric is actually by Premier Prints. The pattern is called "Suzani" and color is corn yellow. They have it in a variety of other different colors too. I love that it's large print! :) And yes.... the throw pillow/ book sling fabric is Amy Butler's "trumpet flowers." Hope that helps!
