He writes, Did you ever use carbon tracing paper to get a copy of a drawing you liked or needed? Well, I used carbon fiber and epoxy resin to sketch a 3d version (strong enough to sit on) of one of my favorite chairs. More than fifty years after Charles Eames made his plastic chair, it's design and construction still stands, even in carbon because of his brilliant engineering job. (prototype, will not go in production)
We like this chair with its Eiffel Tower legs more than The Carbon Chair, which is in production.

Um, yeah, so I just had a look at the link you posted... the (2004) production version (from moooi) is posted just above the entry you pasted here? I'm confused...

It's a different chair than The Carbon Chair.
I've seen the carbon chair at basel miami last year. It's a piece of art and super light. Again, I like the Eiffel Tower legs more.... I wonder why???? ; )
Relly cool design, seen in person.... but, it has been out there for quite of bit!
