Multiples of any kind, whether plugs, skate decks, vases hanging lamps, always seem to grab our attention. Two of anything, of course, is pleasing for its intrinsic balance, its pleasing symmetry, its yin and yang but hike it up to three of something and beyond and it suddenly gains an arresting one-two punch that never fails to deliver. The ordinary becomes the extraordinary. Here the plugs lose their utilitarian, practical nature and become decorative; from far away they even resemble wallpaper. Consider this the next time you want something to have impact; it's also a way of "hiding things in plain sight."
