• The Clutter-Busting Piece Missing From Every Home Office
We just finished up our office renovation. One of the first accessory pieces I purchased...
the bright orange mesh garbage can from IKEA to use for recycling paper.
Not sure why trash cans are missing from so many office areas. This is the first time I've ever used one mainly because I didn't have a lot of room and did not want it cluttering up the floor. Maybe it's the same for others too. Plus, no matter how modern and sleek a garbage can is, it's still collecting trash - not something one wants to keep on display??
My trash can is in the kitchen. There is a half-wall that divides the kitchen and the dining/office area. So if I need to throw something away I just chuck it over the half-wall and it's 50/50 that it will land in the trash can.So that's why there is no trash can in my office area.
My desk has a pullout cabinet with a shredder, recycle paper bin, and nonrecycle bin. I need these things because I work from home and can't avoid all paper and trash. However, I don't want to feature them.
