The design in this Stockholm apartment is the result of compromise between husband and wife. Katja is always on the hunt for beautiful things while Bengt prefers a more modern, spare look. As in many European homes, heirlooms blend with more recent finds (even some from IKEA!), the result is a home that is personal and unique.
The dining room table in the third picture is simply a sheet of glass resting on saw-horses, which have been painted black. The artwork on the wall is a creation of Anne Lindhusen from Stargo.

Wonderful living room! Love the rug especially
If you've got windows and floors like those, does it even matter how your furniture is arranged? Just lovely.
Really beautiful. There only a few homes I see on AT that I could see myself in. This is one of them.
*it looks like there is a body under the serape blanket.
Love it all except for the living room rug.
If I'm good in this life, can I come back as a Swede?
Ah, if only American apartments were like this! European cities are full of big old gorgeous apartments but I've only encountered a very few American apartments that are comparable. I mean the space, not the decor itself, which I have no strong feeling about one way or the other in this case.
oh God how I'd love an apartment like this, especially the huge bay window in the last pic, I'd put plants on the ledge and spend hours laying in the sunlight on the bed with books...
i love everything except the rug in the livingroom
Yum yum! Just amazing with all that natural light. I think my fave shot is the one with that institutional looking bed paired with the worn nightstand and organic-y linens. A great mix of styles, perfectly balanced. Swoon!
