The Do-All Media Wall

If you're the type that's short on space - even more so if you're living in a small loft in NY - why not go all out with custom shelving all along the living/dining room wall? Feng shuist be damned, that's what Tara and Ari did, as seen in their house tour featured on Apartment Therapy New York, combining home theater, home office, and dining area all into one cohesive functional mesh of digital goodness.

With so much storage, one starts to wonder how a single family can accumulate so many books, magazines, LPs, DVDs, and other paraphernalia. Still, it's a breath-taking sight to behold once the design is fully realized.

As far as resources go, the bottom shelving units were made by Andy Monteleone and the bookshelves were pieces taken by Rakks, placed next to one another. Unfortunately, the uncontrolled wires do give us a small heart attack, but one could easily fix that with one of many wire management solutions seen here on Unplggd. No worries, we'll make sure they get the memo.
