My boys are pretty much take it or leave it when it comes to dollhouses. I, however, would love to have one in the house. To appeal to them, I thought a well-built homemade dollhouse might do the trick. And I finally found one over at El hada de papel.
There we found the easiest DIY tutorial for a homemade dollhouse yet. Use stiff cardboard to cut out 2 pieces as shown and slot together. As decoration, you pre-paint the cardboard or cover it in paper. Go with the templates provided or create additional cutouts to add detail. We love this idea because you can also tailor it to the proper size for your space. The hardest part will be to get my hands on some cardboard. For other fun crafts, check out El hada de papel.

Shaw's Original Fir...
This is freakin awesome! If you could get your hands on some decent sized cardboard pieces you could make a kid size playhouse too.
Me encanta la idea! Muy buen hecho!
WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE BUNNIES?!?!
Seriously! I had some from my grandmother and my sister's dog came over and ate them! My daughter misses them dearly and I have been unable to find replacements.
I got a shipment in to the store and used the box to create this. Took me all of five minutes with a box cutter. Now to decorate it! Thinking of making a Haunted House themed one too!
re: Where to get those Bunnies?
They look like Sylvanian Families to me.
just google them. You can find them in most toy shops if not ebay.
I may try this for my class! They would love it!
