Just look down at your desk—at your 120GB iPod, 2TB hard drive and 128GB flash drive—and you'll see what a revolution we're in the middle of. Or, you could take a look at this chart.
The same amount of photos you've got stored on your iPod would take about 300 photo albums to store. We need not let you know that such a massive amount of albums would not suit your clean, minimalist decor as well as a tiny hunk aluminum does.
For another dive into reality, check out the chart above and gasp in amazement as you see how far digital storage has come in our lifetime.

Unabashed geek that am I, I totally want that poster.
Of course, becoming a geek willing to proofread my own posts wouldn't hurt either.
pretty cool. not only the size, but also the cost! i remember my first digital camera in late 2000 where i bought a 64mb CF card for something like $50-75. that size would maybe fit 3 images from my 5D2 now and for that price i could get a handful of 4-8GB cards!!
I still remember loading Bards Tale on floppy disks!
I can't decide whether I fondly remember Zip Drives and disks or not...the memories of losing school design projects due to faulty media vs. the then vast amount of portable storage is battling within.
A few weeks ago, in the back of my closet, I found an unopened box of floppy disks. My seven-year-old PC still has a floppy drive that I was using to transport files between home and work as recently as four years ago.
