In case you're the type that likes to have 3-4 TVs wall-mounted along your living room wall, we have the perfect IKEA hack for you. All you need is 6 IKEA AKURUM/FAKTUM wall-cabinets, some measuring tape, and about 2-3 days set out for an intensive DIY project that'll create enough room for as many media serving devices as your TVs can handle.
First things first, you'll probably need a plenty of space to pull off this hack (Mr. Richan of this lovely 1900's apartment had a 7-meter long wall). You may also need to consider how much weight the wall sustain (you wouldn't want crumbling walls just for that sexy floating shelf look).
In Mr. Richan's case, the wall was indeed too weak to sustain that many shelves without any support below it. So instead, he resorted to placing the cabinets on top of a custom-welded base frame. This isn't a bad idea given you still have that sweet floating look, but without the hassles of trying to figure out how to mount everything against a tricky surface.
Finally, he chose a top surface that would match the rest of his kitchen in the other room to complete the modern, contemporary look. Wires, we imagine, wouldn't stand a chance with a little under-cabinet work.
