You've had a great summer. Perhaps you entertained loads of out-of-town guests, barbecued, held parties and did craft projects with the windows flung wide open. Or perhaps you spent no time at home whatsoever, but vacationed, or took advantage of fair weather to go on every hike and outdoor event you could. Either way, your home now needs your attention, as you will need it in the snugglier days ahead.
The Cure is an 8-week process of evaluating, clearing, adorning and aligning your home with you, ultimately to create a space that supports happiness, peace and vitality in your daily life. While not back (or bank)-breaking, the process does take some some focus and motivation, as well as good old-fashioned elbow-grease. We're here to help.
• First, the book: Apartment Therapy: The Eight Step Home Cure is your manual for the next eight weeks. While we'll post about each chapter every Monday, you'll need to borrow, find or buy a copy to really follow along.
• Next, Flickr: Join the Apartment Therapy SF Cure Flickr group to post pictures and get in on discussions with your fellow Curers. Start with some 'before' pics to have something to look back on, and maybe get some early feedback and encouragement. Don't forget to tag your photos with "apartmenttherapycureSF" and we'll pull pics from the group to share your progress with AT:SF readers on Fridays.
It all starts next week, so we'll answer any questions you leave in the comments in preparation for the days ahead!

Can't wait for this, count me in. I was going to do the Spring Cure this year but I was still in school and there was no way I could battle both school and a Cure. :D yay for Monday!
Aw, I wish our dining room always looked so clean! The painting is by Nathaniel Parsons. He shows in the San Francisco/Bay Area quite often and can be found here:

He is one of my favorite working artists.
When I found Apartment Therapy via Casa Sugar last spring, the "cure" was about to begin. Ordered the book from Amazon - it never arrived and had to order again. By then life got complicated and was not able to participate.
Very excited for the fall cure!
It is more important to cleanse before winter since cabin will not be conducive to leaving window/door open.
Thanks!
what is the source for the dining table? it's gorgeous!
wig3000 thanks for the artist name, love that piece.
The Cure is a great concept. I read along with the Spring Cure and will follow this with great interest, and probably participate a bit here and there. I host a forum on Delphi, for people who follow the Fly Lady system, and have put a link to this blog post for members to read and possibly find inspiration.

Yes, please do tell the source for the dining room table!
Please, please share where that table is from. I have been trying to find something like that for months to no avail.
I enjoyed reading Flylady.com, but I must warn you, don't subscribe to emails.. they are out the ying-yang. I much prefer The Cure, spiked with 15 minutes a day in your flylady zone. It's more structured, which I need, but not overwhelming.
Hi, thanks so much for all of your nice comments about our dining room table. It was created by furniture maker, Jeffrey Ruiz, out of recycled redwood and steel. I think it was meant to be an outdoor table, but we loved it so much that it ended up inside. We picked it up at the Wooden Duck in Berkeley.
I'd like to sign-up!
When can we sign up? I thougt it was today--I saw LA has thier sign up posted. I'm ready to get going!! I cleaned out my jewlery drawer and my hair stuff bag this morning. I know it's small but it took almost no time and I already feel better! I can't wait to get started for real!
Hey â I just posted the sign-up form:
