Quote of the day: Alana in Canada
I just want to say that I do feel like taking a big long break--or at least poking about on the things that still need to be done. I feel exhausted and anxious to resume "normal" life around here....
Almost there, so don't stop now. But definitely it is good to think about whatever is required to bring it all in for a landing next week. A big break is coming. And so glad so many are going for dinner parties. They are our most favorite reasons to get the house in order. Those of you who are undecided, go for a dinner party!
Your bedroom is the most important room in your home, and the most satisfying to Cure. Changes you make here will translate immediately into totally new feeling when you lie down for the night. Whether it's crisp new sheets, a newly organized clothing closet or a fresh, colorful coat of paint, the improvements will affect your rest and - ideally - have you waking with more energy each morning...
This Week's Assignment:
In the Deep Treatment you are diving headfirst into the bedroom, working to declutter and luxurify your space. I do recommend an air purifier and use them ourselves in both of our rooms. While it may seem to some like an indulgence, keep in mind that indoor air is more polluted than outdoor air and that 8 hours of breathing while asleep means you are sucking in a good deal of the room at night.
One Room Workout? Start Cleaning up! Clean up is as important as set up and it usually takes longer than you think, so start in on it now. Additionally, take a close look at your artwork this week. I always find that people do a disservice to their art by hanging it either too high or in an unflattering grouping. Fixing this can really make a room sing.
Here's the story from Emj: "I finally found a table to put my phone on... After trying many tables (and returning them to the store), I finally decided to take the one which was outside [on the porch] and bring it in. I love it."
