I can't get that "Boys II Men" song out of my head. Because, indeed, we're coming to the end of the road here. The Cure is almost over and now it's time to start looking ahead to your post-program get-together. In terms of preparing the house, this is sort of a tying-up-loose-ends week.
Here's some good advice from Maxwell:
Of course, you've already been working for a number of weeks, so the real challenge here is more in the stopping than starting ... I know that a number of you are working on BIG projects that won't stop this week. What I recommend to all of you, however, is that you clean up as best you can so that this week if nothing else is a breather. Inviting some friends over keep it casual! is still a good idea, and you may find yourself surprised at how interested and impressed your friends will be, even if you're not entirely done. Remember, most people don't spend this much time on their home!
Please remember to post any "after" photos to our Flickr photo group. Share your accomplishments! We're ready to oooh and aaah over your progress like runtararun's "after" bathtub, which was previously peach.

I may involuntarily just come to a screeching stop with projects left unfinished or half finished all over the house.
It's taking too much mental effort to do those last little bits. I was going through some pictures to hang on a wall: and dropped a frame. Glass everywhere. And this is the basement where sweeping dislodges creatures best left sleeping.
Then, upstairs, I decided to purge the linen closet.
Bam.
Light-bulb fragments all over the floor.
The husband is hanging a shelf and when it was all done, I went to put something on it and it tipped. So, new brackets are in order.
sigh.
There's just a little painting left to do. Just. A. Little.
Lovely, recordcat!
Here are my before and after bedroom shots from yesterday:

Awesome, Wig! I really like your style.
I'm feeling better, now that I've eaten!
Funny, I forget how low energy one can get from not eating for hours and hours.
The husband has the shelf up--yay!
Thanks, Alana! I look forward to seeing your room makeover 'after' photos along with everyone else's!
I just finished reading the final pages of the AT:Home Cure book which made me a little sad. It's been a fun process.
I'm still contemplating returning the Rejuvenation pendant for a height adjustment. I'll probably post one more photo of a version I created in Photoshop for everyone's assessment.
The cocktail party idea has transformed into a Thanksgiving dinner with family hosted at our home. A large party seemed a bit overwhelming to tackle before the holidays.
I've got a picture of our new faucet set for the kitche sink posted for you. I just love it to bits.

The day went well after posting the above, mostly because I stopped trying to do very much!
Wowza! made the front page. All that hard work paid off ;)
I will say that planning a little get together for my birthday was a HUGE incentive to take care of some of the bigger stuff I needed to do.
Wig - I love the new colors in your bedroom!
I've got a few more "afters" I can post, as the 3rd desk arrived and I started an inspiration board above my desk.
Okay, here is the kitchen pendant at its current length:

And here is a Photoshop mock up of a shorter length:

Which do you all prefer?
Wig, that's a pretty subtle difference, but the shorter is a slight bit better, I guess, if you think it's worth the trouble.
Alana -
I love your new faucet. Congratulations! And yes, you really have to remember to keep your strength up for these projects. I think I literally made myself sick while putting up my ceiling tiles, because I didn't really eat as much as I should have.
Thanks, Curtis. That would be my preference too.
Thank you Curtis. And wig--if you want it shorter--get it shortened! It really is up to you!
