I've used the phrase "organized chaos" before, and here Mike Meire brings us a project he deems "orchestrated chaos." It's called The Farm Project, and it's about tearing down the walls of a traditional kitchen and creating harmony between man and food.
Mike collaborated with German fixture manufacturer Dornbracht and challenged himself to design a modern, organic kitchen that's minimal and accessible. From open shelves to live animals in pens, everything is on display and ready to use.
The Farmhouse is still a conceptual project but may one day be a reality as we turn to more sustainable ways of living. Seems like the ideal kitchen to roll up your sleeves and get messy.

Harmony between man and food? Reminds me more of living in an abattoir. Stuffed animals all over the kitchen. Yuck.
It's an interesting idea, but there's a reason why people who can afford not to keep their livestock in their homes don't. There is nothing about this kitchen that inspires me to eat anything made in it.
shutters.. I do like the doors facade the rest is gross. If it were hydroponic veggies than maybe I would like it better.

I don't think so - Not even in the Middle Ages did folks cook meals in the barn...
This is what happens when people who never lived on a farm, or possibly visited one, design a "farm kitchen". It's a bit like people in the Western countries who are voluntary members of communist parties, leaving former Eastern Europeans like me baffled.
What a crock of manure!
the concept is cool, but live animals in a kitchen waiting to be cooked is akin to deathrow for chickens, rabbits, etc.
Allergy central!
how morbid. perhaps a greenhouse kitchen...
I like it. Modular, flexible and no granite! I know it's a concept, but live animals in the kitchen? Really?
