The Flake House by OLGGA Architects

We're totally intrigued by this portable "log cabin." From the front or back, it looks like a pile of lumber — but the sides reveal the interior of a sleek modern dwelling.

As we read on about the cabin, we were surprised to learn that it lacks a kitchen and bathroom. We suppose, if it were used as a true cabin somewhere in the wilderness, an outhouse and outdoor cooking setup (bbq, firepit?) would suffice.

It's such an interesting modular design, but we haven't decided how green we really think it is yet. All that unnecessary wood on the exterior. The fact that without a kitchen and bathroom it's not entirely functional ...

Read more about it (and see more pictures) here, and then tell us what you think.
