Have you ever heard of a room described in quite this way? "You are entering into the drug damaged, artist element of our home". This (hilarious) quote comes from Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips, describing his remarkably unique Oklahoma bathroom in a feature on Design Milk.

The somewhat Gaudi-esqe white room reminded me immediately of a townhouse my husband and I looked at (and loved, actually) nearly ten years ago when we first moved to Chicago. That potential real estate transaction didn't pan out but I've never forgotten the how great that similarly curving, antithesis-of-hard-edge space was to be in. The rooms of that home had the biomorphic design details, but I have to say, the addition of a mirror-tiled arch and a floating fireplace really take this to a whole other realm. The design is by FitzSimmons Architects, based in Oklahoma City.

that mirror tile is like walking in a disco ball. Amazing! I'm sure it could be used in some other gorgeous places!
It reminds me of Whoville
Anything Wayne Coyne says or does is okay by me.
No, I certainly have not ever heard anyone say "You are entering into" anything. Apparently Mr. Coyne's syntax is as idiosyncratic as his design sense.
That bathroom rocks, but I have to wonder if sounds would echo horribly in that round, hard-surfaced area...
For some odd reason, I feel a sudden urge to watch Barbarella.
So where exactly is the bath part of this room? Oh, I see, we just see the "lounge" parts here.
And we Oklahomans consider Wayne Coyne a hometown hero... :P
ha--pretty sure, given the proclivities of the flaming lips, there's no need for a comma between "drug-damaged" and "artist"!
