We don't know which is more amusing, the retro-futuristic predictions of this 1967 Philco-Ford Corporation produced short film, "1999 AD", or the smarmy performance of a young Wink Martindale demanding a cheeseburger for lunch from his button-pushing-chef better half. Both are a bit silly, but we really enjoyed checking out all the keen built-in storage and appliances showcased, a marvelous coffee table shown just around the 2:12 mark, and the computer workstation from which "Mom" uses to plan her near-instant prepared meals (flat panels and video chat: bingo!). But thank goodness the envisioned future of gastronomy didn't quite take hold to the degree the video promotes.

Equal parts amusing and creepy.
It might be the future, but golly gee its nice to know that women will still be in the kitchen!
Love the projected image of people in 1999 living a life "rich in leisure"!
Speaking of CREEPY, has anyone ever seen the footage of Wink in Michael Moore's "Roger and Me?" What a jerk!
