Okay, we admit it: Back in college, our walls were covered with movie and band posters. We were young! And poor! Now, we're not quite as young or poor, so we're stepping up to original works of art which, as you can probably guess, gets pricey. Thank goodness for Etsy sellers like Portland-based Ann Whim Tseng (aka a.t. whim).
For what you might expect to pay for a print, you can actually buy an original painting in a.t. whim's Etsy shop. The acrylic piece shown above, "The Great Escape," is just $45.

We especially love the detail in this "Girl with Skinned Knee" print.

The paintings range in price from $35 to $115. Prints are $6 (4"x5") or $15 (8"x10"). At these prices, we could afford to create a mini-gallery of a.t. whim's work!

The first one is cute, but I'm not a huge fan of the others.
They're a little too children's bookish, even for my taste.
Thanks so much for the link. I had to buy "The Great Escape." I agree with Eddie Walker about the children's book style, but that was one of the things I liked about Ms. Tseng's artwork, along with her lovely use of the color red.
