Thanks to Jen Bekman's 20 x 200 emails, we were introduced yesterday to the work of artist Ann Toebbe. We love the nostalgic feeling of her brightly colored home-inspired works, and for three of these pieces you can buy 11" x 8.5" size prints for $20!...
• 1 Drying Our Boots By The Stove
• 2 Red Plastic Plates
• 3 Burning Down the Second House
• 4 Yahtzee (Not for Sale on 20 x 200)
Most likely some of you shared our childhood penchant for all things interiors, like drawing detailed pictures of rooms, making room-based dioramas, or constantly rearranging the dollhouse. There is something about Ann's work that conjures up fond memories of those childhood moments immersed in interior design fantasies. We also love the somewhat screwy dimensionality to Ann's work.
If you're unfamiliar with 20 x 200, it's a fantastic resource for affordable art by emerging and established artists!

Wow, these awesome!
I've bought over a dozen artworks from 20x200. The printing quality is really, really good -- comparable to expensive gallery prints. I don't know how they do it.
Very folk-art, and I mean that in a good way. I really like the "Yahtzee" one, too bad it is NFS.
It reminds me of the illustrations in Good Night Moon. I can see putting the first two into a kids room, but not really my cup of tea otherwise.
simply beautiful.
i like it; thanks for the intro
swoooooooon - you know the animated series foster's home for imaginary friends? the show itself is pretty forgettable, but the sense of color here is so lovely and amazing. thanks so much for posting this one!
