There's a sort of melancholy quality to Noele Lusano's photos. Undoubtedly, it's the result of living in London, Portland, and San Francisco, which, although they're three places we adore, are places that, at times, can lend themselves to loneliness, solitude, introspection.

Noele describes her work as "a diaristic amalgamation of documentary, landscape, and portrait photography."

Recently Noele's worked as the in-house photographer for Jeremy's Department Store for the experience of doing fashion photography. However, in March she's moving to Berlin "to see where the city takes [her] and where [her] photography might go."

Noele's 'Cities of Light' series is currently on display in Brooklyn, at The Apartment. Those photos were taken here in SF, as well as Paris and Hamburg, and have a dark, fantastical quality to them. The series is also on her website.
