Noted amongst the many artist participants was the exceptional, LA-identifiable works of painter Miguel Osuna. Los Angeles freeway landscapes abstracted into beautiful streaks of colour and light, Osuna's works are the smoggy-hazy memory of Los Angeles' sunsets and curving overpasses realized on canvas. Although we've missed out on the auction, many of his works are available at various Los Angeles galleries, so we may yet have opportunity to enjoy his LA landscapes in person soon. More art below the cut.
We had one of those weekends where there were eleven events we wanted to attend, all going on at the same time, but with nowhere enough hours in the day to make it to everything (a reason why we love living in Los Angeles). One of the events we regret missing was Get:Art, an art auction at Bonhams & Butterfields on Sunset Blvd, all art sales benefitting Project Angel Food.
