Introducing Sejma Prodanovik, a Serbian collage-artiste-extraordinaire I was lucky to come across. Here are a few gems in "standard format" -- but truthfully, it was her miniature worlds in toothbrush packaging that captured my heart (see below).

Toothbrush #12 Mixed media collage, 45 x 8 cm
Toothbrush #10 Mixed media collage, 45 x 8 cm
Toothbrush #9 Mixed media collage, 45 x 8 cmAnd best of all, you can browse Sejma's website and if a piece strikes your fancy, you can propose a price to her. Wow. That seems to be the best route to be in touch with her too - address and phone in Belgrade, and mechanism for emailing her.

Know any artists whose work would make a home a lovelier place? Send ideas to The Gallery. Thanks!

Her work reminds me of and I'm sure is influenced by the 1956 collage "Just What Is It that Makes Today's Homes So Different, So Appealing?"
