We attended a reception for the Wherever Project last night at hejfina. Wherever is the inaugural project from Devening Projects + Editions. The curator, artist Dan Devening, brought together 17 critically recognized artists to create artwork in multiple form based on the idea of "wherever". The media ranges from photography, lithography, hand-worked drawings and paintings to sculptural objects. Each piece is in a limited edition of 30. The suite of work can be purchased individually or as an entire collection. The pricing and accessibility make this an especially interesting option for buyers just starting to build a contemporary art collection.

In keeping with the theme of "wherever" the work will be shown at various exhibition spaces...it is not tied to a permanent venue. It can go to the audience - a preview of the project can be arranged with the curator, by appointment. It was a lovely event; an interesting talk on a inspiring Chicago project and we thought the work looked wonderful at hejfina. For more information, appointments, and to view the complete list of artists, their work and specific pricing ($400 - 1200), visit deveningprojects.com.
