The Greatest of Girly Cameras

For some girls, part of the appeal when buying gadgets is finding cute and colorful items to balance out the typical black, gray and white color scheme most gadgets usually take on. Being one of those girls, I'm always on the lookout for pretty tech tools. This week I've been obsessed with cameras. Here's a roundup of my five favorite girly cameras.

Diana Mini Camera with Flash $120
A mini version of the classic Diana+ camera, this Diana Mini takes the same dreamy shots that allow you to shoot photos at any time of day with a retro-style flash. The integrated color splash feature allows you to apply a burst of color into your photos, similar to the many filter options in today's smartphone apps like Instagram and Hipstamatic. Cute, small and pink, this is a fun portable old school camera to own.

Juicebox Camera $25
One of my favorite no frills, easy to shoot cameras is made by Photojojo who took a 35mm camera and turned it into a juice box with a straw as the shutter button. It doesn't get anymore adorable than that. Besides its painfully cute exterior, the Juicebox camera shoots Lo-Fi photos and is a great tool for vignetting. Just twist the straw to open the shutter and you're ready to start shooting.

Hello Kitty Instax Mini $199.95
Anything with Hello Kitty imprinted on the front wins my attention, which is why I opted for the Hello Kitty Instax Mini versus the original. The Instax Mini has the same immediate appeal as the Polaroid but in a smaller package. This camera is best for shooting single images, and although equipped with flash, shoots the best photos with natural light.

Wish You Were Here Disposable Camera $12
It's been ages since I've picked up a disposable camera, but if I were to use one, I'd choose this pretty "Wish You Were Here" disposable camera. Not your typical disposable camera, this one adds a landmark silhouette to each of your photos, with six landmark options total. Equipped with flash and packaged in a cute box and casing, this disposable camera is a winner.

Polaroid iPhone Decal $6
Last but not least, if you're an iPhone photoapp-aholic like me, you'll appreciate this iPhone decal that disguises your phone as a retro Polaroid land camera. With just the right amount of color and pop, this decal is easy to apply and remove. Besides dressing up your phone, the decal also protects it from scratches.
