The Green Home Guide is the ultimate one stop source. This website offers pretty much everything you need to know to make sure your home is up to par - environmentally speaking, that is. The site is brought to you by the U.S. Green Building Council, a nonprofit composed of building industry organizations that are devoted to promoting environmentally responsible housing and work space. On it you can find local experts in your area, green products for your home, information on government incentives, tips on how to determine if your home is truly green, and help with preparing to renovate or simply make repairs that will make your home a more environmentally-friendly place. There are all sorts of tips and guidelines to make sure you are not simply "green-washing" your home (anything that claims to be eco-conscious but in fact has no proven value) but are actually making positive changes. Check it out here. Originally posted by Lily on AT:SF.
