Congratulations to all our contestants!
But WOW. In the final hours, Sandra's beautiful stoop of plantings bested Serra's entree, both of which are in Carroll Gardens. And Serra's amazing rooftop garden cafe had us drooling at our desk.
David politely allowed the ladies to fight it out and took the high road.

Sandra will be receiving a $50 gift certificate to her favorite store, GRDN, while Serra and David will both be recieving brand spanking new AT T-shirts (we're going to send Serra our book too). Thanks to everyone for sharing their amazing green thumbs and inspiring us all for what can be done to eek out the green in the big city. You are all winners.

Vive le roof!
Congrats to all 3 winners! Hope none of the pettiness or accusations tarnished your moment.
Hooray for Sandra, but booooo to the meanies on the last voting thread.
Obviously it's the city that wins when these folks put things where we can all enjoy them.
Thanks for all your votes everyone! Party on my roof this week-end? ;]
Serra
PS: Sandra, I have taken the long way to everywhere in the hood trying to pass through all the Carroll Garden streets to find your stoop...I am determined to find that award-winning stoop soon! Congrats!
I agree with Matilda. Boo to the naysayers! Hooray for happy plants! We should all be glad that every contestant is doing their part to make our city a little greener.
Congrats to Sandra and I hope that all three finalists enjoy their winnings...
Thanks for all the votes and kind words, folks! And big ups to everyone for doing their part to eke some smiles out of the grit and heat of a New York City summer! (I know it's what keeps me going when I'm making the run up and down my rickety cellar ladder to retrieve the garden hose EVERY MORNING.) My stoop has become a gathering place for my neighbors, and I like to think that the flowers and my TLC have a little something to do with that ; )
Serra, I'd love for a fellow award-winning Carroll Gardener to see my stoop. I'll pass along my info to Maxwell and you can c'mon by!
I love the impromtu are on and around the results :) :) hehehe
