Considering how much we write about green building and green homes here at Re-nest, it's shocking to consider the fact that we've never really highlighted the workers who build them. That's why The Greening of Southie, a documentary that follows two blue collar workers constructing Boston's first LEED-Gold accredited mixed-use residential building, has our curiosity piqued...

Apparently the filmmakers had little knnowledge of green building when they started, just an interest in the workers and how transitioning to green building would impact their careers — not to mention how it might impact their neighborhood.
