Fellow Boston bloggers Wes & Kayla first blogged about the famous Walter Gropius House in Lincoln, Massachusetts during their Apartment Therapy audition. Clearly it was a hit! Apparently Martha Stewart had the same idea - her September Martha Stewart Living issue features a 12 photo spread of the house, including rarely seen interior shots....

Built in the 1930's by renowned modernist architect Walter Gropius, the Martha Stewart article points out that the entire home was built with an $18,000 budget ($275,000 today), making it "one of the least expensive architectural masterpieces of the 20th century."

House is amazing. Does anyone know where to find a blanket similar to the one in the bedroom?
This house is so beautiful. Great furniture and design.
I love the kitchen and the bathroom. I would love to live in it.
Beautiful!
Gorgeous.
the word 'drool' doesn't quite cut it.
I love the bed...does anyone know what the bedding cover is made of?
the bedcover / bedspread is probably chenille
My father took us to this house when my sister and I were pre-teens and I've never forgotten it. It's just ...exactly RIGHT, everywhere you turn (and as soon to be teens we were very very impressed that the child's bedroom had its own entrance!).
